About Us

When I met Pedro, he allready had 2 Samoyeds: White and Moon. He got White in 1997 here in Portugal and it was his first own dog. Three years later he dicided to look in Spain for a girl (Moon) with a better type/temperament/health. He wanted to try the dog shows and since then nothing stopped him.

We both met in the beggining of 2003 and Pedro was in the process of getting a puppy from UK, he fell in love with those lines. And so we picked Midas in the mid/end of that year from the famous Roybridge kennel. And when he was old enough to start showing here in Portugal, at 6 months old, that's when the real fun at dog shows begun.

When we were searching for a really good quality Samoyed we did it first for our own pleasure and because of their beauty, temperaments and good health. Later we tought we could contribute to better the breed in this country which was lost by that time. We then decided to get a puppy girl from the top kennel - Zamoyski. And so when Midas was arround a year and a half we went to pick Cilla in Edinburgh. By that time we were completely addicted to dog shows and since then we try to allways do our best for this breed. But our main goal is to give our dogs the best quality of life possible and to enjoy them as family companions first.

When I decided to get together with Pedro I told him I would have to have a dog of my own preference and one that I could also show. My family was more into the Spaniel world and I got a huge passion for the English Springer Spaniels with my mother. I was allowed to have my first dog at 18 and I fell in love with an english cocker spaniel that unfortunatly I couldn't show.
Then I decided to get an English Springer Spaniel puppy from USA but unfortunatly as soon as he arrived he showed bad temperament to all the dogs biting them out of fear and possession and he was growling at people too, we tried everything we could and he didn't get better at other dogs. We had to let him go live with a friend who lives alone and they are both happy together. But he still has issues with other dogs. They aren't all like that, I just wasn't lucky...
So I searched for a breed in the gun dogs that could suit our lifestyle and that could live in perfect harmony with the Samoyeds because our dogs all live free, not in kennels.
I decided to have an English Setter and it was the perfect choice! I got a boy from Set'r Ridge's in USA and he was very successfull in every show and his temperament so soft, calm and good natured but still with a great atitude in the show rings. Then I decided to get a girl and thanks to some friends, I went to Oakley kennel (USA) this time and when I arrived there they were what I was really dreaming of so I knew I had found the type I want to breed in the future!

We hope to continue learning all the time and improving the breeds in order to be the nearest as possible to perfection in temperament, health, tipicity along with beauty and allways trying to keep in mind the origins of both breeds and what they were made for.
